WRMK Guest Spot

Hi!

Welcome to Mama's Sanity!  I'm so glad you stopped by.  If you are new here, I would love it if you would click that little "Follow" button over there on the right.  When I hit 100 followers, I will give away a little blog candy.  Now, who doesn't like candy?  ;-)  And for every increment of 50, I will add another prize.  How does that sound?

I am so excited to be featured on We R Memory Keeper's Facebook page today.  I love their products.  I was lucky enough to go to Chicago in July and help with one of their classes at CHA (the MAJOR trade show for crafting manufacturers and buyers alike).  I was thrilled when they asked for guests, and am humbled that I am the first in their series of Facebook Guest Designers.

For this spot, I was sent Hall Pass to work with.  This was perfect for me since my oldest just started Kindergarten.  I loved the colors in this kit.  They work great for both boy and girl pictures.  There is so much variety between A & B sides, you could easily use this paper for more than just school projects.

That said, I did end up using the papers for a school project - a frame for one of the few smiley pictures I snapped of my son on his first day of school.  This started out as a plain $1.50 wooden frame from Michael's.  To the amazing Hall Pass papers, I added a little ink, some Modge Podge Matte and a couple screws, and here is what I got:

I was a little nervous with this being one of my first "altered projects".  I think the biggest compliment I got on this was, "Wow Mom!  That's awesome!" from my little guy.  I'm glad I was able to do a frame he likes, to showcase his big day.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you will continue to visit.

Cheers!
Kristy

  1. Are those real screws you drove into the frame? Or brads or something that you glued on? Regardless this is fab!

    1. Yes Amber, those are real screws! My hubby nicely drilled some pilot holes so I didn't have to worry the screws splitting the frame.
