Growing in Unity 2018: Day 3

Hi!

Today marks the halfway point of my Growing in Unity posts.  I hope you have enjoyed my projects so far!  If you have missed any, the links are at the bottom of this post.

For today's project, I decided to keep with the tropical theme I started yesterday.  My mother-in-law loved flamingos.  Whenever I see them, I think of her.  The flamingo stamp in the Standing Tall (July 2018 Kit of the Month) set is no exception.  I love how tall and graceful this flamingo looks.  I hope I did justice to her when I colored her with my Prisma pencils.  Colored pencils on kraft paper have such a fun look.  I can't wait to do more kraft coloring.

    I love your flamingo card. What a great idea to distress with white on the edges. I am going to try that out. The turquoise dots are really fun too.

    We love our Flamingoes here in So. Florida; we have a place called Flamingo Gardens and I love going there. Lots of peacocks, too. Your card is gorgeous! Love the design and all the fun elements you used.

    I like to color with color pencils on kraft cardstock. The flamingo looks fantastic on the kraft.

    I haven't used colored pencils on kraft paper in a while...and now I'm suddenly motivated to start stamping and coloring, thanks lady :) This pink flamingo just pops off the card, SO pretty!

    I have this stamp. I've stamped it out but haven't colored it yet. Yours looks fabulous. Kraft paper is my favorite to stamp on. I love the way it colors.
