Growing in Unity: Day 5

Today is my last day as the Growing in Unity girl for the week.  It has been a lot of fun sharing different cards with you.  I hope you have enjoy seeing my different styles.  I would love it if you would be a follower of my blog, if you aren't already.  And don't forget to comment on all my projects throughout the week for a chance to win a 25 stamp grab bag from Unity Stamp Company!  The links for all the projects are at the bottom of this post.  You have until 11:59 MDT on Sunday, Aug 2nd to comment on all of the projects.  I will post the winner on Monday, August 3rd.

On Tuesday, I showed you a card that I was going to stick in my son's backpack on the first day of school in 2 weeks.  Well, I can't leave the little girl out.  She starts Kindergarten this year.  Talk about time flying!  For this card, I wanted "simple" words and fonts that I knew she could read.  So I grabbed my Be You stamps from the Itty Bitty series of stamps.  First I stamped it with Versamark and coated it with clear embossing powder.  After heating the powder, I watercolored over the paper.  I really wish you could see the pearl tones in the watercolors I used.  It is really stunning, just hard to capture on the camera.  I really thing she is going to like the colors, and the beautiful butterfly on the card.

Remember: Comment along all week for a chance to win a 25 stamp grab bag from Unity Stamps!

In case you missed any of my projects, you can jump back here:

Thank you for visiting all week!  I can't wait to do this again next year.

Cheers!
Kristy
