Now here is a challenge - use a mesh bag you get from things like fruit at Costco and use it in a creation. Charity at The Paper Girls Challenge really threw one at us. Not an easy challenge, but one that I was excited to try - and what a great way to upcycle.
I had some green mesh from some watermelons and yellow mesh from the packaging of some sand toys (that I had to save from hubby throwing out!) and I thought it would be perfect with the Ted Drews cup. I went through a few incarnations of this yellow and green combo - from a braid to a twist - until I finally settled on the layered look. I also think My Mind's Eye Kraft Funday's muted colors also played off the bright colors of the cup and mesh.
And a huge thanks to ScrapbookSteals.com for a great Pearl 2 MWM sketch! I couldn't do these pages without you.

ReplyDeleteThe first looks awesome, but I love how outlining really just popped it off and finished the page.
