Practical Scrappers: Project Life Day 3 in Florida

I'm back again, with another spread about my trip to Florida.  It is fun to relive the trip this way!  Every time I make a new spread, it makes me want to go back!

For this spread, I used a mix of cards and elements from Studio Calico's Project Life kits, Allison Kreft's Composition and Color collection and Simple Stories I Heart Summer.  I hope you like sunsets, because I think I have pictures of sunsets from every night.

Cheers!

Kiwi Lane: Last Tuesday Tip Time

Today is my last individual blog post for the Kiwi Lane Design Team.  It has been a wonderful 9 months.  I couldn't have asked for anything more from my first manufacturer design team!  Thank you to all the girls at Kiwi Lane!

For my September Tips, I was lucky enough to work with Simple Stories December Documented collection.  It is a great collection.  So many fun elements.  I can't wait to work with it...when it is a little cooler out.  It is a little hard to be in the Christmas mood when it is 101 degrees outside, but I took a swing at it with some old photos from 2008...

The journaling cards in this collection are simply adorable!!!  I can't wait to use them on my December Project Life pages.  Here is a card I made with one of the journaling cards.  I used Kiwi Lane templates to highlight and cut the tree from the card.  (Did I mention that it was over 100 degrees outside – not very Christmassy weather?!?)

Thanks for visiting me today.  Make sure you head over to the Kiwi Lane store.  The templates I used on these projects (Sunnybrook Lane, Tiny Brackets, and Journey) are 10-15% off in the store this month!

Growing in Unity - Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of my Growing in Unity guest designer spot.  I've had a great time sharing some of my creations with you.  When I was trying to decide what I would do for my final project, I thought about doing a scrapbook page, or an altered art project, but instead I thought a thank you card!  It is a thank you card to all of you for visiting me all week.  I love reading your comments.  They are very inspiring.

Yesterday was the third Thursday of the month.  That is when Unity Stamp issues their {Be Inspired} Challenge.  I loved the look of the card sketch, and I thought it would great for my Thank You card.  I also realized that I hadn't done much coloring on my cards this week (if you don't count coloring sentiments).  So I decided to "make my own" background paper for the card using a stamp and a little ink.  Now, I don't claim to be an expert at coloring with pens, by any stretch of the imagination, it was fun to pretend to be a kid for a while.  :-)

Growing in Unity - Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of my guest designer week with Growing in Unity.  I'm having so much fun breaking out some of my Unity Stamps to create some cards this week.

My family has a lot of birthdays coming up next week.  I thought this card would be fun for one of those days - because yes, it really does suck getting old!

The sentiment was a little long for the area I had "allotted".  Instead, I colored half the words and stamped it, then repeated with the other half of the sentiment.  The lollipop was stamped on watercolor paper so it would be sturdy enough to cut and wrap with a piece of cellophane (actually a wrapper from a stamp set - upcycling :-) ).
